EU Nature Directives Reporting (2013-2018)
An overview of the conservation status of species and habitats of community interest and of measures to combat alien species of Union concern in Italy
This book presents the results of the three Reports that Italy submitted to the European Commission in 2019, concerning the Birds and Habitats Directives for the period 2013-2018 and the EU Regulation 1143/2014 on Invasive Alien Species for the period 2016-2018.
For the first time the three datasets are published together, providing an overall picture on the conservation status and trends of the species and habitats protected under the European framework, both in land and in marine environments, and on the risks arising from invasive alien species.
The data cover 336 populations of 306 birds species, 349 species of wild animals and plants (322 terrestrial and of inland waters and 27 marine), 132 habitat (124 terrestrial and of inland waters and 8 marine) and 31 invasive alien species of Union concern (17 animals and 14 plants) occurring in Italy.
