Maritime transport and environmental management in Italian ports

In the report “Trasporto marittimo e gestione ambientale nelle aree portuali italiane” published  by the sector Progetti Aree Portuali of ISPRA different topics are developed as the reform of Italian port sector, the funding for the intermodal transport, the advantages on the reduction of pollutant emissions by using alternative marine fuels as gas and shore side electrical power, and the port development planning.

At the same time, the report shows latest data about traffic (from 2005 to 2014), good practices and environmental performances of Italian port Authorities.
