Review of the interlaboratory comparisons in the ecotoxicological field organized by ISPRA (2003-2016)

This publication presents the inter-laboratory comparisons in the ecotoxicological field in order to present the ISPRA experience from 2003-2016 in organizing these exercises. This experience has allowed the accreditation of the ISPRA PTP Center n. 10, also for the ecotoxicological schemes in addition to those already accredited. These activities are part of the SNPA initiatives for the harmonization of monitoring data produced by the laboratories of the regional Agencies.

The opportunity to be able to work on the network, putting in place all the available skills through a continuous exchange and technical comparison among the participants, facilitates the improvement of performance and the identification of any critical issues as well as allowing a continuous adaptation of the assays to legislative requests monitoring through ecotoxicological tests.
