- Study of marine litter and Abandoned Lost or otherwise Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG) to assess its distribution, quantity, type, sources and effects on marine species (benthic organisms, mammals and sea turtles)
- involvement of fishermen in litter removal assigning them an ethical quality label
- removal of marine litter and ADLFG using low-impact removal methodologies
- management, recycling and reuse of collected materials and development of an innovative and virtuous marine litter valorization chain
- organization of technical meetings and preparation of reference guidelines for the proper management of marine litter
- dissemination activities to increase awareness of environmental issues among all parties involved in the problem.
