New species in the Adriatic Sea: what to do, how to recognize them
A notebook for artisanal and sport fishermen
Did you happen to catch something that had never been seen before? It could be a new species introduced by ships, or arrived from the Suez Canal, or through Gibraltar or pushed northwards by global warming.
Here we present some of the most recent 'guests' of the Adriatic Sea, illustrating the potential risks to the environment and to human health. An attempt to inform citizens and to involve artisanal and sport fishermen in monitoring this phenomenon.
