Most of the museums in the survey (89%) declared to organize temporary events, showing the high level of activity of the institutions and their openness to a customer loyalty policy.
Temporary exhibitions are the events organized by the majority of museums. This type of event is useful both to provide a deepening of the museum topics and also to attract the public that has already visited the museum.
Lessons are also organized by a high percentage of museums (69%). This information confirms the educational vocation of most museums, which organize seminars, conferences and in any case events oriented to the scientific dissemination to a public of students and researchers.
49% of the museums declared to organize also other events not listed in the options provided by the questionnaire. It was given the possibility to specify the other types of event organized. The analysis of the responses allowed us to understand what are the interests and the specific activities of each museum and what could be a general trend. The information was consistent with the previous responses, confirming a prevalent educational vocation of the museums. In fact, among the added options prevailed: training and refresher courses, workshops, presentations of books, theses and cultural events aimed at different targets.
