Tecnoshark
To investigate large portions of mainly flat seabed, ISPRA uses a robotic towed vehicle, designed and built by the staff of the section, called Tecnoshark. The towed system consists of a high definition camera and a 4k camera, a navigation computer and an acoustic type positioning system. It is used in very large areas, for example for monitoring submarine power cables.
