ISPRA President and DG visiting the Environmental Laboratory of the Coast Guard

The President of ISPRA, Stefano Laporta, together with the General Director, Alessandro Bratti, and some experts in the various fields of expertise, have visited the Laboratory for Environmental Analysis " C.F. Natale De Grazia" Coast Guard, set up at the Port Authority of Rome. The delegation of the Institute was welcomed by Admiral Giovanni Pettorino, Commander General of the Corps of Port Authorities - Coast Guard. The General Commander and the Ispra President have immediately expressed a strong understanding on the common purpose of safeguarding and protecting the marine and coastal environment and a communion of intentions on the opportunity to share the respective competences at the central and regional level.

Shot down vulture Egyptian just released in the wild. Ispra denounces a serious episode of poaching in Sicily

Yesterday, in the province of Trapani, was found the body of one of the two Egyptian vulture released in August in Matera by the Ispra and the Menacing Raptors Center of Grosseto. Found by the Carabinieri of Palermo, after the report made by the researchers of the Institute, the specimen belonging to a particularly protected species was immediately subjected to radiography and the examination confirmed the presence of numerous pellets in the body. This is a serious act of poaching against an endangered species, belonging to the family of vultures, whose re-introduction in the wild is Ispra working within the European project LIFE "Egyptian vulture" (name with which the species is known at the international level).

Epa Network: Ispra's president Laporta, Copernicus will be protagonist of the next plenary session

After the speech of ISPRA and SNPA President Stefano Laporta, who underlined the importance of the Copernicus program, this will be at the center of the agenda of the next EPA Network Plenary Session, which will be held in Oslo in February 2019. The environment returns to the center of Copernicus, whose original name was 'Global Monitoring Program for Environment and Security (GMES)'. Also the ISPRA proposal concerning the harmonization of environmental controls, based on the model of the National System for Environmental Protection, has been included as an in-depth analysis within the Better Regulation Interest Group (BRIG).

Today at Remtech conference on environmental communication

After the first preparatory event of the SNPA National Conference, the System continues to be involved in the numerous events organized during the three days of RemTech Expo. In the afternoon there was a conference on environmental communication "Petroleum today and tomorrow: an eco-sustainable challenge: the role of information" organized by Ricicla TV, the oil union and ISPRA.
