In the introduction all the data, even if not strictly technical-scientific, related to the following topics must be reported:

a) geographical classification;
b) previous editions of official geological cartography at the scale 1:100,000;
c) synthetic organization chart;
d) period of survey;
e) criteria adopted for the survey, the choice of biozonal schemes, the structure of the legenda, etc.;
f) other eventual.
